I have to be out of town for a few days and won’t be able to ride on Sunday (or next Wednesday). I hope the rest of you will organize a ride and get out there and enjoy yourselves.
Last weekend, we had a post-ride discussion about riding in the Lagunas tomorrow. However, the latest forecast shows a high of 44 for tomorrow with cloudy conditions. Call me a fair weather mountain biker; it’s true!
So, how about either Raptor Ridge or West Sycamore instead? Will be lots warmer!
Please respond with your plans to ride and location preference.
I was thinking we might go out to Orosco Ridge tomorrow. It will be in the mid-60s with no rain and light winds. I might have Teale and Sebastian skip the big climb and instead ride the forest road and the new single track. But others could do the regular ride and we could meet up afterwards.
Jerry is OOT, but how about the rest of you?
8:30 start?
Reiner suggested the Lagunas for tomorrow, and I think it's a good idea if we can get a handful of people to join the ride. It will be clear, cool, and not windy tomorrow. I figure we will park in the usual area just before the cattle guard and meet at 8:30.
It seems the weather will be near perfect for a ride in the Cuyamacas tomorrow if we can get at least a handful of willing riders to join in. Since we will leaving DST early Sunday morning I suggest we start at 8:30, because it will seem like 9:30!
If this location doesn’t work for the group, my plan B proposal would be Raptor Ridge, starting at the same time.
Please respond (early) with your availability.
I'm going to attend my grandson's baseball game in San Juan Capistrano tomorrow morning and won't be able to join in the ride. I also know that Alan is out of town. Otherwise, maybe the rest of you can use the blog to get yourselves a ride organized! Good luck and enjoy the day.
Good morning everyone. Some of us have discussed riding tomorrow at Orosco Ridge north of Ramona. And because the cool down in high temperatures has started, we don't need to start before 8:30 for fear of the heat. There are several versions of this ride, we can fight about that among the riders that show up on Sunday. Breeze is also projected to be very light. Should be a beautiful day for some spectacular scenery!
Please let us know if you can (or can't) make it. Alan is out of town, but I'm hoping the rest of you are game,
I'm thinking we might just ride at Fanita Parkway/Santee tomorrow, but start at 8:00 to avoid the heat. If we do that, we should be able to finish riding before we get to 80 degrees. Julie is out of town, but not sure about others' availability.
Please respond with your intentions to join the ride (or not).
