I won't be able to make the ride tomorrow, as we will be up in Orange County celebrating my grandson August's 4th birthday. Some of you know he was hospitalized last week and we were very concerned about his condition. Luckily, he did not have a very serious condition; it turns out he had mono and very low platelets, which caused some unexplained bruising and an enlarged spleen. He's recovering nicely and should be a normal 4 year old boy again shortly.

I’m still up in Orange County at the kids house and may not return in time for a ride tomorrow. Jerry’s bike is out of committing and Julie is out of town, so I guess there will not be a group ride tomorrow. I hope you can do something fun on your own.

It looks to me like the weather will be near perfect in the mountains tomoroww, so I would like to ride in either the Cuyamacas or Lagunas. However, I have friends in town and need to be home by 1:00 pm or so, so I would also be happy to ride in the local canyons, like Sycamore Canyon, if that's better for everyone. The high temperature there will  only be around 80, so that's nice as well.

Let's hear from those who plan to ride with their preferences. I need to finalize the ride plan by 5:00pm today, so please respond by mid-afternoon if at all possible.

I have family in town for a reunion on Saturday and many of them will still be here Sunday. So, I'm not able to ride on Sunday. I hope the rest of you can get out and enjoy the day!

Since it will be hot inland, I was thinking we might just ride Sorrento Valley tomorrow. I think Julie and Alan and Edwin are all still out of town, so we'll probably have a small gtoup anyway. 8:00 behind the Post Office?
