I won't be able to make the ride tomorrow, as we will be up in Orange County celebrating my grandson August's 4th birthday. Some of you know he was hospitalized last week and we were very concerned about his condition. Luckily, he did not have a very serious condition; it turns out he had mono and very low platelets, which caused some unexplained bruising and an enlarged spleen. He's recovering nicely and should be a normal 4 year old boy again shortly.

If there's any silver lining to this story, we've had to postpone our trip to Sicily, so I should be clear to ride for many upcoming Sundays. I hope some of you can organize a ride and get out and enjoy the cooler weather. See you soon.
