I won't be riding this Thursday as I have too much to do:
1. Avoiding rain and thunderstorms (70% chance forecasted)
2. Building Jerry's new bike so it will be ready to roll.
3. Getting a few things done to help my kitchen remodel get finished soon.
For any of you who have more time or less concern with the weather, you can use this blog to organize a ride. Good luck!

PS-This is no April Fool's joke.

I'm up for a ride if the 30% reality kicks in! Maybe Penasquitos/Tunnels?

Be it proposed, by us, the workers at RM Services , that several of you need the extra "conditioning", that it is Holiday (AF day) and the chance for rain after Noon is actually 10%. Therefore, subject to approval by our Chairmaster, and for anyone who cares, the meeting place shall be 4:45 at the SV Post Office (usual meeting spot in back). Should Penasquitos be closed due to the 2 hour downpour that ended an hour or so ago, then I believe there is a way up and around or we can drive up Shaw Ridge road. Be it also proposed that the after-ride meeting spot is near the RM compound at Lorna's at the corner of Genessee and Governor at around 7. Be it proposed!
Also, we know that the RM
Also, we know that the RM has "people" for these things. In fact, we know at this very moment, there are "people" working at his compound, some citizens of this country and some not (for their special skills).

From Ranger Washington:
"The predicted rain came, which is a good thing. We did some trail work and put some plants in the ground and this rain will be very helpful to settle those things in. Of course we need to keep people off the trails for a couple of days, so all trails are closed.
We have some more information. As part of the Ocean Air Community Park construction at the south end of Carmel Mountain Preserve, the Trail Head at Fairport and Shorepointe will be closed from April 5 to April 30 as erosion controls will be installed. There will be open trenches, loose surface material and equipment in the area. For your safety and that of your family and friends, please stay out of this area during those dates, this includes weekends and after hours.
