It will be pretty chilly tomorrow, but sunny. I was thinking we could ride Raptor Ridge (wait a minute Reiner), but instead of climbing the big hill, we could head back across the meadow/fields and return to the north side of Lake Hodges where we could ride a little while. I assume the rain will have soaked in by now.
Sound OK? Start at 8:30?
Let's hear from you please.

CHANGE OF PLANS
We need to relocate our ride for tomorrow. Julie just sent me a brochure about a big race tomorrow at Hodges. I’m sure a big part of our ride will be off limits or otherwise unrideable.
So I’ve got two proposed rides for consideration:
1. Sycamore West off of Stonebridge Parkway.
2. Penasquitos Canyon, starting from the old Post Office parking lot.
I’m fine with either, so please respond with your preference.
Sorry for the late change.

Either is fine with me as well. I'll leave it to the RM's wisdom... as I doubt there is much other wisdom go go around...

OK, time’s up. West Sycamore
OK, time’s up. West Sycamore it is. Not sure why Reiner and Christine didn’t respond yet, but I’m hoping they will join us tomorrow.
See you at 8:30.

6:00 AM UPDATE
Good news:
The rain (that wasn’t predicted) seems to have come and gone.
The skies appear to be clearing,
Bad news:
It’s blowing like a MF out there!
It’s colder than I expected, mostly due to the wind chill.
I’m thinking we could still ride, but that the windy, cool, and damp conditions would render the riding uncomfortable and unpleasant. I propose we wait until 7:30 and reassess. I don’t think we’ll see enough improvement in the conditions to change minds, but I know we would all like to ride if things get better.
I’ll provide an update and recommendation no later than 7:30. Until then, stay warm.

I got a splash of rain last night too. I’ll watch the blog !
7:20 UPDATE
As expected, the rain has moved out and skies are clearing. But the wind is still pretty strong, especially the frequent 20 MPH gusts. Since the temperature won’t exceed 52 or so this morning the wind will keep it uncomfortable during the morning riding time.
So, my interpretation is that the gods don’t want us to ride today!
Thoughts?

Check the Poway wind/gust speed if you don’t believe me. Not calm there, but you may have a different forecast you follow. Still very windy at my house.
