Finally some sunshine!! Now if we could just see a litttle improvement in the trail conditions. To that end, I went out and rode Raptor Ridge this morning to see if it would work for the group tomorrow, and it is mostly fine. A few wet spots, some new ruts here and there on the more sloped sections, but all in all not bad. I also rode the trail behind the nursery, which I would say is in pretty poor condition. Lots of rain damage on both the climbing and descending sections, which render it marginal for riding at this time. And did I mention it was cold? About 41 when I got there at 8:15 and about 43 when I left at about 9:45. So I would suggest we start at 9:00 tomorrow. It's supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow, but expect a chilly start.
Va bene? If so, please let us know that you plan to attend.

I have a memorial service to go to tomorrow mid-day, so I'll miss the ride. And no, it's not mine.
No bene ;-)
Raptor ridge not a favorit of us. Is like skiing in wet snow instead of powder - and boy did we have power in Utah for 2 weeks! So taking the 5th tomorrow and ride something different. See you guys next weekend!

Looks like a small but hardy group...I imagine there are not many places you can ride in SD County after the rains we've had. Glad RM took a test ride today. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty!
