Can't beat Lake Calvera as a coastal ride with ocean breezes on those days when it hits 100+ degrees inland! I'll offer again to host a little BBQ afterwards, or maybe just an opportunity to stop by for a beer after the ride, for anyone who's got the time available.

I wouldn't pick the location for Jerry since he a big maybe anyway.
As far as Carlsbad goes, the forecast shows it will only be 77 degrees at 11:00am, so that doesn't sound so bad. And the chance of rain is only 5 percent. So it's probably a good bet.
I'll start at 7:30 if that the group's preference.

If the weather looks like it does now (grey and overcast), any chance of a BBQ is probably not a good idea. That said, I'll be happy to have my place offered as somewhere to enjoy a beer rather than sitting on the sidewalk. The only drawback to Calvera is there isn't any good place to pull out coolers and chairs...
