I'm wont be able to ride for at least 4 weeks due to my peroneal tendonitis. If you think I'm in bad shape now, just wait until a month goes by with no time on the bike. The only upside is that I may not miss many rides if the rainy weather keeps up, and that I still have my right foot for driving.

Marc: need to get you well
Marc: need to get you well ASAP. So here are a few suggestions...deep water pool running using a flotation belt, anti-gravity treadmill (Rancho Del Mar PT) and calf stretch (straight leg top of calf, bent leg bottom of calf...you really have to feel the stretch to be effective...this really works if done 4X each day).
I have just finished my TWELVE weeks hip/pelvis rehab so I know how you feel. I still have some pain so will be easing back into exercise.
Get well, Peter
That's looking on the bright
That's looking on the bright side !! Meanwhile...start looking for that tendon immobilizer boot cleat...
Thanks Peter. I suspect you
Thanks Peter. I suspect you are a much better orthopedist than most of the ones with MD behind their name. I have an MRI this morning, and depending on what they find I'll try to start a rehab program asap. Glad to hear that you are near the end of your house arrest!
RM
Marc: The one thing that
Marc: The one thing that solved both my left torn achilles and right torn gastroc/achilles junction was a PRP(platlet rich plasma) injection of my spun down blood. I know some MD's do not believe in this procedure, but it solved my issues after months of conventional treatment. One shot was covered by insurance and one was out of pocket. It took about three weeks after the shot for it to work.
I hope the RM gets on a good
I hope the RM gets on a good PT program for this although I always thought Peter's recommendation and what worked was to get on a ladder or roof and jump down onto a ledge thereby snapping those tendons/ligs to get rid of the problem...
