Would a 4:00pm ride work for anyone this Thursday (tomorrow)? I'm supposed to be in a meeting at that time, but I may be able to escape if there's enough interest in a ride. I assume Spring/Oak would make the most sense because we would only have about 2 hours of daylight for the ride.
Tomorrow's weather looks a little iffy; probably not worth a drive to the mountains. How about Sycamore Canyon, with the "new" eastern trail loop added on?
Start at the dirt parking lot by the high school off Mast at 8:00am?
I was hoping the mountains would be good tomorrow, but the forecast for Pine Valley is a high of 48 degrees. So maybe something at a lower elevation would be better. Would you rather do Sycamore Canyon or Daley Ranch?
Or, if you have another suggestion, make it.
Looks like the weather will be good anywhere we want to go tomorrow, including the mountains. Does anyone have a preference for a ride? Doesn't matter much to me.
I'm having a hard time seeing how we can ride tomorrow and not get rained on or mudded out. Supposed to rain again tonight, and I just went on a walk with Yogi and things are pretty wet out there already.
There's a 40% chance of rain tomorrow (Sunday), so it may be smarter to do a local ride. That way, if we do have to bail, we won't have too much driving time invested.
That said, let's hear a suggestion or two. I will finalize ride plan based on copious input by 5:30pm.
How about continuing our exploration of Sycamore Canyon tomorrow. We still need to find the eastern route to Martha's Grove. If someone has a strong desire to o another ride, speak up.
We hope to sneak in a Thursday ride this week due to the nice weather and the fact that Jeff is off work all week. If anyone could get over to Spring/Oak Canyon by 3:30, we would love to have you join us.
In celebration of some massive weight loss over the past couple of days, we may also want to stop for beer and pizza if we have a few interested persons. This would be around 6:00pm.
Let me know if you can join us for one or both of these big events.
