As you probably know, all of the inland and mountain areas we normally ride are still in the 90s. So I suggest we ride at either Penasquitos or San Clemente/Rose canyons tomorrow. I know the choices are limited, so let's hope things cool down a bit for next weekend.

Please respond about your availability and indicate which ride you would rather do. I'm suggesting we start at 8:00 am to beat the heat.

Where to ride in hot weather? Listed below are the projected temperatures at 11 am of various areas we frequently ride:

Santee   82 degrees

Lagunas   80

Escondido   83

San Diego (Rose Canyon and Penasquitos    75   

I would like to ride and would go to any of the above areas provided we start at 8:00 am. But I would like to have a good showing from the group.

Please let me know if you plan to ride (or don't) and which area you'd rather choose.

The weather forecast continues to show unseasonably hot inland and mountain temperatures. So I checked which rides have more moderate temperatures during our ride window from 8:00 to 11:00 am.  So, unless you guys want to ride at Penasquitos this Sunday (again), I'm suggesting that we ride either Santee or Sycamore West tomorrow. I'd rather start at 8:00 to avoid the heat, but I will start at 8:30 if that's what the majority wants.

Due to some time constraints tomorrow, I'm proposing we just ride at Santee at 8:00 am. Some of us need to be finished early and on to other things. And as a bonus, Santee will be one of the cooler spots tomorrow among our usual rides.
