Hey everyone.

The mountains will be chilly and windy tomorrow. How about giving the new version of our good old Sycamore Canyon ride a try? We don't have to climb the killer Artichoke hills in this version of the ride. We meet where Fanita Parkway dead ends on the east side of the Santee Lakes. To get there, you take CA52 east to Mast Avenue, go left (east) on Mast and then turn left on Fanita Parkway. After about 1 mile, Fanita Pkwy ends and intersects Ganley. We park right there and the trailhead is across the street.

See you there at 8:00? I hope so.

My kids/grandkids are here, so it's hard to know exactly what's possible for a ride tomorrow. Do you guys want to plan something local and I'll show up if I can? I'm thinking there's a good chance I can ride, but not positive.

How about riding in the Cuyamaca's tomorrow? It will be in the low 60s, cool but not cold. With the holidays upon us, it may be hard to get out there for the next few weeks.

Any takers? I was thinking we could meet at the Sweetwater River parking lot (the usual) at 8:00.

I can't ride tomorrow due to a family committment in the afternoon. Don't let that stop the rest of you, however!

And by the way, I'm out of town next weekend visiting Juli's mother in Tucson, so I'll miss that too. Don't worry though, my battieries are being deep charged for the ride on the following Sunday. If I don't see you before, have a happy Thanksgiving.

I've heard from everyone but Pete, so it looks like the Santa Margarita River Trail will be our destination for riding tomorrow. Here are Steve's direction to the trailhead:
