It seems like pagans like us should be having some kind of ceremonial ride and celebration of the longest day of the year, which is this Thursday.

In order to assure access to a good celebration location(Filippi's) where sacrifices can be offered up (pizza and beer), I'm suggesting we ride either:

1. Sycamore Canyon

2. Spring/Oak Canyon

3. Mission Trials East (off Clairemont Mesa Blvd)

Let me know if you can make it, and if so, what ride you prefer. I can't get there until 4:00 pm, but hopefully that's not a problem for anyone.

I'm having a colonoscopy on Thursday morning, and I'm not supposed to drive or operate machinery the rest of the day. I'm not sure a mountain bike qualifies as machinery (probably), but driving to somewhere to start a ride must certainly be forbidden. So, I'm unavailable Thursday, but looking forward to Sunday!

I'm back, and my calendar would allow me to ride. Unfortunately, the cold/brochitis I picked up on the flight home will keep me from joining a ride this Thursday. Hoping that Sunday will be better for me.

The mountains will be cool and breezy tomorrow, so I'm thinking we should ride somewhere inland and enjoy the low 70s temperature. How about one of the following at 8:00:

1. West Sycamore with Martha's added on

2. Raptor Ridge/San Pasqual Valley

3. Sycamore Canyon

4. Your recommendation

Please get your ideas and preferences stated by late afternoon as I hope to finalize the ride plan by 6:00pm today.
