Because of the heat forecast for tomorrow, we should probably stay very near the coast (Penasquitos Canyon) or go out to the Lagunas. I would prefer the Lagunas, but will go wherever the group chooses. If Reiner and Christine are going to join us tomorrow, we should let them choose since this will be their last ride in San Diego for quite awhile. Whatever we decide, I would like to start at 8:00am to beat the heat as much as possible.

Our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids are here for the weekend, including a wedding today and a play at the Junior Theater in Balboa Park tomorrow afternoon. Do you think I’d miss a performance of Pippi Longstockings for some silly mountain bike ride? Not this grandpa!

Anyway, just because I can’t ride shouldn’t stop the rest of you. The mountain weather looks excellent! You should all go and enjoy the day.

I hope to ride on Sunday, but I hurt my knee earlier in the week and would probably only be able to ride something fairly short where I could head back to the car early if necessary.  Both Sycamore Canyon and West Sycamore Canyon fit that definition, and Lake Hodges would as well.

Anyone able to ride tomorow? If so, please state your ride preference by late afternoon please. I'd like to finalize the plan before 6:00.

It looks like tomorrow would be a great day to take a ride in the Lagunas if we can get enough people to make the trip worthwhile. I would propose we meet at the usual spot just before the cattleguard at 8:30. So who can make it?
