Well.............I did a road ride up Kitchen Creek (the asphalt version) and down Sunrise this AM and it was a little warm, but not bad at all..from 9-12 or so
I hear there is a dirt ride in that area and I didn't see anyone on the PoaCh Trail today.
I also did a road ride today but not as ambitiuos a Kitchen Creek...but I'm open to that dirt trail Julie mentioned. I just need to be home by 1 PM or so.
Will not be there tomorrow but I did ride the Poach (Morris Ranch to Pioneer Mail) in the middle of the day on Tuesday...did not see one person. So go for it !
I don't believe we can do the Kitchen Creek "dirt trail" and be back by 1:00. How about the ride in the Cuyamacas where you start at the Sweetwater River (Horse Trailer) Parking lot, take the Upper Green Valley Fire Road to the foot of Soapstone, catch the La Cima trail over to Sunrise, then take the P_T northwest back over to the La Cima trail connector. From the top of Soapstone we could take the Stonewall Mine road back to the Park Headquarters and to the Sweetwater Parking Lot. I bet we could do this and be finished before 11:00.
I'll assume it will be Cuyamaca ride but will check first thing in the morning- I have to take diane to airport around 6:40 and will plan to be at Santo Rd by 7.... unless I see otherwise...
