For our absent friends a ride
For our absent friends a ride report. Alan, Jeff and I turned up (at various widely separated times) and commenced this ride at 8.30am. As advertised it's steep from the get go and erosion over the year since any of the group had done the ride has increased the degree of difficulty of the rock steps and obstacles on the way up, needless to say no-one cleaned the ride and a bit of huffing and puffing was being done on the way up. Conditions were mild and the views at the top spectaculer, a 10 mile ride that takes 3.5 hours including stops and still gives a good workout! Such a pity that John is back in Australia, maybe I can take Brad here and watch him die?
