I'm not sure what to do about tomorrow. Los Penasquitos/Del Mar Mesa is closed. I can only get away for a few hours, so I'd rather not drive too far. Any suggestions?
I know it's Cinco de Mayo, but I think a ride is in order this Thursday. My only problem is a meeting that doesn't end until 3:30, so I could make a 4:00 ride at Pensaquitos, but would need until 4:30 to get to one of the Santee rides.
It's my spouses birthday tomorrow and we're going to be up at Somer and Rewdy's in the morning. However, I would LOVE to ride in the afternoon, if anyone is interested.
I should be back around 1:00, so I could be somewhere by 2:00. If everyone who plans to ride prefers the morning, I completely understand and will just do a loop around my local canyons.
I'm thinking tomorrow might be a great day in the mountains. It won't be above 70, and it won't be breezy until the afternoon. Want to give the Cuyamacas a try?
My kids and grandkids will be here this weekend, so I have limited time to ride. So here are my suggestions:
1. Everyone else goes to the mountains and enjoys the beautiful weather and flowers.
2. It's going to be hot, so we could do a coastal ride like Penasquitios or even San Clement and Rose Canyons. If you guys all want to go to the mountains, I may be able to get Rewdy to do a local ride with me.
I'm definitely riding Thursday night, even if I have to do it alone. For anyone who plans to join me, declare your intentions early and have a say in the choice of locations:
I assume there's no point in planning a ride for tomorrow, since it is surely going to be raining and too wet to ride. Besides, Julie won't get her new bike muddy yet!
