We're getting close to the end of the "Thursday Night Ride" season, so this could be out last or near-last ride this year. A number of us will be gone next Thursday on our trip to southern Utah. As far as San Diego goes, it looks like we'll have more of this cooler weather for the rest of the week.

Do you want to try the Spring Canyon/Oak Canyon ride again this Thursday at 4:30pm?  Dirt lot just off Hwy 52 and the Mast exit?

For you late arrivers, or non-riders, we'll be stopping at Filippis around 7:00 for beer, pizza, and a few lies about how well we rode this terrain.

It will probably be pretty warm on Thursday, but how about Oak Canyon/Spring Canyon at 4:30? We can take it easy during the first part of the ride; in my recent experience it cools off pretty quickly around 6:00pm. See you at the dirt lot off Hwy 52  and the Mast exit?

I'm going up to Orange County today for my daughter Somer's birthday and may not be back until mid-day on Sunday. As you know, Julie will not be riding for awhile due to her accident and broken hip. All reports say she is doing very well, and hopefully will rejoin us in a few months. Some way to get out of hot weather riding isn't it!

Anyway, I'm hoping the rest of you can put together a ride. If I get back in time, I'll come join you. Whatever the case, have a good weekend and BE CAREFUL! We don't need any more players on the injured reserve list.

Anyone want to try the new trail from the north end of Spring Canyon over to the switchback mountain at Sycamore Canyon on Sunday? We could start at the Mission Trails parking lot off Mast and see how far we can get. If we start at 8:00, it shouldn't be too hot before we finish. Here's a link to the general area that might work for you:

How about Oak Canyon/Spring Canyon at 4:30? Parking in the usual spot. We might even let Jerry come meet us for pizza at Filippi's afterward!
